The 7 Belief systems - a 2019 update (2)

On 13 August 2019, I presented my 2019 update of the 7 Belief systems, in which I expect a strong future Power domain versus a rather weak future Knowledge domain. Events have been moving fast in 2019: Amazon (banking), Apple (Card and Pay), Facebook (Libra and Pay), and very recently Google with Cache (banking) and Nightingale (healthcare).

The future Power domain (ie, Tech, Data and Money) does not include Politics and Religion. Latter is already on its way out in many countries, including USA (PEW-2019). Collective Religion is being replaced by individual Faith or Spirituality, which is situated in the Knowledge domain. Politics is under pressure globally, especially in bipartisan political systems (eg, UK, USA) and in weak coalition governments (eg, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain).

The "French astrologer, physician and reputed seerMichel de Nostredame a.k.a. Nostradamus (1503-1566) predicted lots of turmoil at the start of the 21st Century, followed by a very long period of prosperity (source). The belief systems Politics and Religion have often been the cause of turmoil (eg, military conflicts, terrorist attacks).

The Nostradamus source above makes an interesting remark: we are also in a period in which we leave the (astrological) Age of Pisces and enter the Age of Aquarius. Each astrological Age is 1/12 (c. 2,150 years) of the Earth's axial precession, which cycle lasts about 25,772 years. There is no consensus when astrological ages start, although it was once common knowledge.

The Nostradamus prediction and the description of the Age of Aquarius both seem to suggest a long period of balance, progress, prosperity and stability. Once the belief systems Politics and Religion are out of the Power domain, this could indeed happen.

For some time, I've been wondering whether the future 7 Belief systems will result in a dystopian or utopian future. The description of the Age of Aquarius suggests a mix of both:
  • "the Aquarian Age will usher in a period of group consciousness";
  • "widespread transparent, peaceful, neighborly, and sustainable living";
  • "the appearance of dictators, self-expression, and the rising influence of the entertainment industry" (see my recent blog: Big Tech + streaming video = bread and circuses).

It could be argued that the rise of nationalist leaders equals "the appearance of dictators". Both imply the decline - and possible exit - of parliamentary democracy (= belief system Politics). Hence, I should skip using the word future in my forthcoming blogs and believe in what I say (sic).

I believe a.k.a. You Say (2019) by Lauren Daigle

You say I am loved when I can’t feel a thing
You say I am strong when I think I am weak
You say I am held when I am falling short
When I don’t belong, You say I am Yours
And I believe, I believe
What You say of me
I believe
